![]() ![]() WARNING The Backup Buddy App reduces mental health stigma! - This App was developed for South Yorkshire Police. General mental health tips are provided, as well as a directory of Useful Contacts and we have a facility to share your story - to help reduce the stigma in others. The App also includes officers' own stories which users can relate to, leading to feeling less isolated. There are specific pathways mapped for help and support within South Yorkshire Police, including 24hr support for officers and staff. #BACKUP BUDDY VERSION HOW TO#It gives practical advice and support on how officers can maintain good mental health, spot warning signs for themselves and others, plus advice on how to get help for themselves and colleagues. The App covers a range of problems faced by officers and staff in the Police service, such as anxiety, stress, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), depression, eating disorders, self-harm and more. Quite happy to discuss tmp file locations, but under a plugin installation directory is not a location to use as you cannot rely on write access. The Backup Buddy Police Support app is for police officers and staff in South Yorkshire, designed to help with mental health issues. If you have an opinion on the location of the tmp directory for plugins or have questions on the blog post do let me know. Would however love to have this conflict out of the way and not being forced to add this exclusion to every WordPress site I work on. ![]() I will not leave either plugin any time soon. #BACKUP BUDDY VERSION FREE#Even though iThemes have their own commercial Security plugin they should still play nice with others out there, shouldn’t they? Especially if the other party is populair and has a free version.īut that is my opinion. You would think that BackupBuddy – commercial WordPress plugin for backups – would make sure it would work well with the most populair Freemium Security plugin out there. 8.0 focuses on extending and enhancing BackupBuddy’s existing functionality to make everything work better and be more powerful. Would love to hear what other people think about this. BackupBuddy 8.0 just landed with some great new features and enhancements to make backing up your WordPress site even easier and more reliable. I love to keep the webroot clean and avoid conflicts with other plugins. BackupBuddy v8.7.4.1 WordPress Backup Plugin GPL Latest Version Rated 5 out of 5 based on 3 customer ratings ( 3 customer reviews) 4,099.00 199. BackupBuddy backs up everything: Plugins, themes, widgets and your SQL. I think it is OK to have it in the plugin root. BackupBuddy Plugin: Hands down, the easiest way to backup your Wordpress websites. Whether a plugin author should place a tmp folder in the plugin directory or in the webroot is a discussion I would love to have. Plugins really should not create temporary directories/data under their own plugin installation directory but Wordfence tends to play by its own rules □ In my correspondence with BackupBuddy they stated that: This was the first time I bumped into a specific BackupBuddy Wordfence conflict though. I also excluded some tables like Slimstat tables as they can get really big if you intend on keeping data for a year or more. Did use directory exclusion on BackupBuddy before the exclude certain error logs, backup directories. That way that directory will always be ignored / excluded. In BackupBuddy under general settings > Default excluded files & directories (relative to WordPress root): To deal with this you need to excluded the directory for all file and complete backups: /wp-content/plugins/wordfence/tmp/ Just like I love Wordfence for taking care of my sites’ security. Love that and love BackupBuddy for making complete backups and taking care of migrations. They responded quite quickly as they always do. I noticed in the BackupBuddy logs that BackupBuddy failed to make a backup as it tried to backup the Wordfence tmp file while that was being used by Wordfence. It allows you to schedule regular daily, weekly and monthly backups. That means you dont need to pay every month. Had a BackupBuddy Wordfence conflict the other day. BackupBuddy is not a subscription service. ![]()
